Mr. Park, a 55-year-old government official, has been suffering from
gout for over 7 years. At first, he had experienced one or two spasm of
pain a year. More recently however, these pain spasms have been occurring
every 2 or 3 months, in each of the big toes and right elbow. Also, during
the early stages of the disease, the pain subsided when painkillers were
consumed for a day or two. However, in recent times, the pain subsided
only when painkillers were taken for at least a week with the pain quickly
reoccurring upon the commencement of challenging physical activities.
After experiencing these reoccurring symptoms, Mr. Park made up his mind
to visit our clinic to cure this disease once and for all.
Gout is caused when a patient continuously has trouble digesting properly
and waste matter from digested foods accumulates within the body. This
in turn leads to a rise in the level of urin-acid within the blood stream
and this excess urin-acid eventually settles around joint areas which
are usually located in the legs. And if this Urin-acid continuously settles
for months and then years on end, it will eventually lead the patient
experiencing severe pain in the affected areas. In the majority of cases,
this pain can be controlled through a dosage of pain-killers, but the
pain reoccurs in certain situations such as when an individual pursues
excessive drinking, is under a great deal of stress, or when the joints
become overburdened. In Western medicine practices, there is no cure for
gout as of present, and it is considered to be an incurable disease. After
visiting our clinic 5 times (within 4-5 months) and having taken the prescribed
medicine, Mr. Park was completely cured of the disease and he hasn't experienced
any lingering symptoms of the disease for many months now. Many other
former gout patients besides Mr. Park have also discovered that gout is
not an incurable disease after all. If the digestive function is enhanced
so that urin-acid is prevented from further accumulation and the urin-acid
in the joints eliminated through the use of herbal medicine, gout induced
pain can be easily remedied. There is however, a tendency for the patient
to experience acute pain during the process of eliminating the urin-acid
within the joints.
In the aforementioned case of Mr. Park, he experienced pain in the joints
within a fortnight after having consumed the prescribed medicine, and
subsequently he was not able to go to work for a few days. However, after
having overcome those few days, he did not experience any further pain
as the healing process progressed.
Depending on the age and past medical history of the individual who is
suffering from the illness, gout patients can usually be classified into
three types. The first type is when the age of the patient is under 45
years and diagnosis of illness less than 5 years. This when the disease
is in its initial stages, and it can be cured rather painlessly if the
patient is subjected to treatment for a
period of 3-4 months. And complete recovery in this case is a 100% guaranteed.
The next type is when the patient is between the ages of 45-55 and the
diagnosis of the illness between 5-10 years. This is when the disease
is in its middle stages, and for complete recovery, patients must be subjected
to treatment for at least 6 months. Although patients in this case experience
continuous pain for a number of days, the chances for complete recovery
are very high if the patient is willing to endure the temporary discomfort.
Finally, the last type is when the age of the patient is greater than
60 years, and the diagnosis of illness over 10 years. This is when the
disease is at its most advanced stage, and the success of treatment depends
on the physical health of the individual. Overcoming the illness in this
case can usually require treatment lasting for at least a year, and the
patient can expect to experience a great amount of pain associated with
the curing of the disease. However, if the patient has a strong will to
get better and persistently undergoes the necessary therapy while minimizing
the level of pain, complete recovery can be achieved.
Only a decade ago, gout was considered to be a rare disease and its existence
was unknown to doctors as well as patients. However, in recent times,
the number of gout cases has exploded due to a increase in undisciplined
eating habits, environmental pollution, and excessive work load and stress
in the modern workplace. And because the majority of gout patients happen
to be males, calling gout a 'man's disease' is not an understatement.
Gentlemen, are any of you experiencing unexplained pain in the toes or
swelling in the ankles? Don't be just content with receiving acupuncture
or taking painkillers but seriously consider whether if you have gout
and if possible receive treatment as soon as possible. We must keep in
mind that the recovery rates for all diseases including gout are much
higher if diagnosis and treatment are conducted in the early stages of
the disease. You also have a better chance of defeating the disease if
you are younger.
